18 Days, 20 Hours, 44 Minutes & 10 Seconds Until Pitchers and Catchers Report to Spring Training
Thursday, January 27, 2005

Here's a shot of Murderer's Row (Gehrig, Meusel, Lazzeri, Ruth), members of the 1927 Yankees. Along with the 1998 Yanks, this team was probably the greatest baseball club in history. Leveling opponents at virtually every turn, the Yanks won the American League pennant by a staggering 19 games, outscoring opponents by almost 400 runs.

They were 110-44 and became the first team to ever sweep the National League team in the World Series when they beat the Pirates.
