Kostya Tszyu (31-1, 25 ko's) takes on Ricky Hatton (38-0, 28 ko's) this Saturday in Hatton's backyard in Manchester, England. Tszyu is the undisputed junior welterweight (140lbs) champion and is coming off a 3 round destruction of America's Sharmba Mitchell in November 2004. Hatton has been protected from top shelf opponents so far and has primarily fought in England. He's never faced anyone of Tszyu's caliber.
The pairing is a clichéd, but nonetheless classic one that sets a potentially thrilling stage. The old pro against the young upstart, experience versus youth, calculating skills against relentless pressure, and knock ‘em cold power counteracted by overwhelming punch volume.
