INTRODUCING POPE BENEDICT XVI

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany, a longtime guardian of doctrinal orthodoxy, was elected the new Pope today. He chose the name Benedict XVI. I don't know much about him, I was perty confident Dionigi Tettamanzi of Milan was going to be our new pope.

I can't wait to heart him speak, this is important stuff, peoples.

I'm Catholic, but I didn't know much about the 'candidates' for Pope. I was surprised they chose an older guy though, but I'm sure he's the perfect one for the job... the xvi part is kind of weird though. I wanted to see the white smoke... but I missed it :(
