It could get interesting when Bernard Hopkins (right) takes on Howard Eastman tomorrow for Hopkin's WBC Middleweight belt. Hopkins hasn't lost in over 10 years and has KO'd both Tito and Oscar.
I think Eastman will give him some little trouble though. We'll see. Right? It feels right. |

Randy Johnson isn't merely The Big Unit anymore. He is being asked to be The Big Difference. If Schilling can get the Red Sox their first championship in 86 years, it shouldn't be asking Johnson too much to get the Yankees our first championship in five years.
"I've never backed down from a challenge," Johnson said. "You come here, anything less than getting to a World Series and winning it would be considered failing."
The Yankees also need him to be The Big Eraser. This will be the spring and summer of Jason Giambi's discontent. Every fifth day, Johnson can make everyone other than Giambi forget about Jose Canseco and BALCO and steroids. Schilling and Trot Nixon can say whatever they please about Alex Rodriguez, because everyone in New York knows the Yankees belong to Derek Jeter and always will anyway. Every fifth day, Johnson can stuff a bloody sock in Boston's mouth and shut up everyone there, until he finds himself reviled as Randy BLEEPING Johnson.

BASEBALL HAS ARRIVED: Yankees Primed to Begin Title Run
Pitchers and catchers have reported to Legend's Field in Tampa, thus ushering in the new baseball season. Today marks Day 1 of the Yanks' reclamation process. I been counting the days.
This is going to be a banner year, believe that. I know Bambino is quite excited about the season and has the same high expectations I do. So haters, bring it on, tis going to be a long year (for you's) |

GIAMBI CONTINUES TO DODGE THE TRUTH
Without uttering the word "steroid," Jason Giambi all but admitted yesterday he used the performance-enhancing drug and said he told the truth to the BALCO grand jury. This liar used a Yankee Stadium press conference to apologize for what he called "distractions last year."
Here's what he had to say: "There have been a lot of distractions and I am sorry for that," Giambi said. "I feel I let down the fans, the Yankees and my teammates. I accept full responsibility. Most of all to the fans, I am sorry. I understand how they feel. I understand it's going to be a tough road to hoe but I am going to work my butt off to get back their support."
So, not only did he cheat and lie, now he dodging the truth. Why is this person still wearing pinstripes?
