In Feb 2007 we moved from Adams Morgan to Monarch Beach. It's different, very much so. So, if you like, check back and witness our transformation from urbanites to beach bums. |

Shake Up in the Boogie Down |
Thursday, June 30, 2005 |

Mike Stanton and Paul Quantrill are the initial casualties of the Yankees' putrid first three months of the season. Stanton and Quantrill, both of whom struggled in reduced roles that they have not been used to, were called into Joe Torre's office and informed of the move that the club planned to announce tomorrow (today).
It's a necessary move, but hard to see Stanton go. He was part of our 3-peat of World Series (1998-2000).

Mo Mo & Anna II |

Here goes another shot of Mo Mo and Anna. I have no idea why Bambino was so inclined to display the bottoms of his feet, though, they are nice feet bottoms. They've barely been used and are perty much brand new. |

1 Outta 3 Ain't Bad. Er, Yeah It Is !! |
Monday, June 27, 2005 |

They did everything but put the broom in the Mets' hands, and yet the Yankees danced out of Yankee Stadium last night talking about how a pulsating ninth-inning win over the Mets could jump start a season that badly needs one. We lost 2 of 3 to the Mets this weekend IN THE BOOGIE DOWN.

Gatti Outclassed By A Superior Mayweather Jr. |
|

On Saturday night there was supposed to be a war going on between two of the best 140 pounders in the world. Unfortunately, it never took place. "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather Jr. busted up Arturo Gatti (pictured above after the fight) and put on a one-sided beating to annex the WBC super lightweight title at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Saturday night.
Gatti's trainer Buddy McGirt pulled the plug on the fight between the sixth and seventh rounds to prevent his charge from sustaining any more punishment.

Where For Art Thou Yulia? |
|

A blast from the past. This pic was taken on my b-day in 2003 by Yulia. She and Terry should be arriving in Cap City from St. Petersburg, Russia sometime in the near future. She, like the rest of the 119 crew (we were actually the 717 crew back then), is all about the pool. She's a photographer, by the way.
Here's her website: www.yuliagraham.com. |

CAN'T HARDLY WAIT !! |

I can't remember a time I've ever rooted for a boxer more than now. I want Gatti to destroy Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather. The guy mos def deserves a beating. It'll be an uphill battle for Gatti, but he's got much more than a puncher's chance. Sat. night, watch this fight peoples. It might make you an instant fan of the sweet science.

Notorious B.I.G. |
Wednesday, June 22, 2005 |

The mystery of who gunned down Biggie has frustrated and fascinated the hip-hop world for eight years. With FBI and police investigations failing to net even a suspect, a swirl of theories implicated corrupt cops, gang hits, bicoastal beefs - or all three at once. None have been provable, so far.
The case finally is in court, as a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the New York rapper's family against the city of Los Angeles and its police department.
It's been a long time coming.

UNBELIEVABLE !! |
|

The Yankees showed fire last night, storming back from a 10-2 fifth-inning deficit to destroy the Devil Rays, 20-11. The Bombers (37-33) equaled the second-largest comeback in franchise history despite being down 11-7 in the eighth.
Bernie Williams' three-run triple to deep center with one out in the eighth gave the Yankees their first lead of the night, and Jorge Posada, Gary Sheffield, Alex Rodriguez and Hideki Matsui homered later in the inning. Sheffield, A-Rod and Matsui hit back-to-back-to-back jacks off Harper with two outs during a 35-minute half-inning. |
