In Feb 2007 we moved from Adams Morgan to Monarch Beach. It's different, very much so. So, if you like, check back and witness our transformation from urbanites to beach bums. |

Winter Hat/Mitten Set: Part I |
Monday, November 28, 2005 |

Here's a pic of Mariano in his new winter hat/mitten ensemb. Safe to say he's no fan of the hat/glove combo. It's starting to get chilly in Cap City and Bambino refuses to wear hats. He just pulls them off and discards them as if they served no purpose. Well, Mama and Daddy-o put our heads together and.......problem solved. The combination of a velcro chinstrap on the hat and mittened gloves thwart all attempts at removing the hat.
We win!! for now.....for now........ |

Winter Hat/Mitten Set: Part II |

Here's another shot of one disgruntled Bambino. He was coming at full speed to mitten-punch the camera out of my hands. Kid has a perty sharp straight left hand. When he throws it behind the jab, well, expect mitten marks on your face.

Here's a random shot of of Mo Mo & Daddy-o. It's from our return from Louisville as we cabbed it back to Adams Morgan from Union Station. I meant to post it down below but forgot.
By this time Mariano was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to be in his home and bang on the television set and throw dog food in Tino's water bowl. Ah, the simple pleasures in life. |

Here goes a shot of Max cutting the Turducken. Note: That isn't a 'WTF you taking my picture face' Alison is sporting. It's more of a 'OMG, look at this thing' face. She, like the rest of us, was in awe of what came out of the oven. So, Thanksgiving Too, while not quite Thanksgiving, was still fun. |

Thanksgiving: Louisville Style |
|
As you all know by now, the fam flew out to Louisville, Kentucky for Thanksgiving at Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Scott's. NOTE: Chrissy and Scott are Mariano's Aunt and Uncle, not Mama's or Daddy-o's. Aunt Chrissy is, though, Mama's sister. That's that. Anyways, it was a great trip and Mariano got to meet his cousin Oliver. He's a beautiful little baby, as the below pictures will show. Thanksgiving dinner was amazing and we had a really fun, albeit short, trip. Thanks for your hospitality Chrissy and Scott, now come see us!!
Hope you like the below pics. |

POLICITICAL CORRECTNESS |

All you Farkers will get this, the others, well, not so much. This came from one of today's photoshop contests. Theme: 'Overly politically correct advertising'
It's a new take on a classic submission from an earlier Photoshop contest. And, yes, Domokun is a player. You can't beat it with a stick!

Marianito HEART Lollipops |
|
Mr. Lee gave Bambino a lollipop the other day, as there were no more bananas left. So, after dinner I let him have some. He wanted to hold it himself, but since he's a crammer, I held it for him. Well, it's safe so say Bambino is quite the fan of lollies. After he had a good bit of it, I put in on the table and he immediately walked over and went in for the steal job. He couldn't quite reach it, though, as evidenced by the below picture.
After Bambino realized there was no way he could recover his lollipop, he went into a full-on angry fit rant. For those of you who know Mo Mo, you're aware he's not a ranter or fit thrower. I feel bad, but it was kind of funny how dramatic he was about the whole thing. Below you'll see him in the fits of anger as his beloved lollipop sits a mere foot away from him. If you cliek on the pic to enlarge it, you can almost feel the passionate intensity he feels for his lollipop. Poor bambino. His anger/sadness was shortlived, though, and we've moved on. The End.

Matsui Signs 4 Year Deal to Remain in the Bronx |
|
Hideki Matsui signed a $52m deal to remain in the Boogie Down for the next 4 years. Okay, that solidifies left field, now how about a little relief? We need, in the worst way, middle relief to bridge the gap between our starters and Mo. I figure that's where Cashman will focus his attention. Hmm, I never thought about it, but I guess it makes sense that the Yank's GM has the last name of Cash-man. Whateva. Matsui is locked in. Nice! |

MARIANO THE CATHOLIC |
Monday, November 14, 2005 |

On Saturday, November 12th Mariano was baptised at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle. It was a beautiful ceremony and we thank all of you who made it (i know, it was early). We followed the ceremony with a little brunch at the 119 and Mama and I really appreciated you joining us on Mari's special day. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to seeing you at all of Bambino's future acheivements. Whether it was to support him in his Catholic-ness, or for the free champagne, we thank you for celebrating with us. We had a great time.
I didn't bothering titling any of the below posts, but did manage to caption most of them. Whatever the case, I know none of yous come here for the written word. Anyway, hope you like the pics of Mariano's Baptism.
